Preppy is a pattern for both a cardigan and a sweater. It is a cropped garment, V-necked, with long set-in sleeves. The garment features multi-coloured stripes in alternating stocking stitch and reverse stocking stitch patterning.

The tension/gauge is 15 sts to 5cm/2 inches in width and 40 rows to 7.5cm/3 inches in depth.

For a version of the cardigan or the sweater with 5 contrast colours, either 5 x 50g balls of Lambswool No 1 or Cashmere No 1 in main colour plus 1 ball of the same yarn in contrast b and 1 ball of Patricia Roberts Angora in each of the other 4 contrast colours.

The pattern had been available from the Patricia Roberts store in London. The store is now closed. The pattern may become available through secondhand outlets.
