Praying for Rain
It is hot here in SoCal and we have not seen rain for a while… But we keep on knitting! This fun little hat features rain clouds with rain drops. The end of each drop has a shiny bead.
The hat begins with a provisional cast on and a creative use of beads and shaping in the turning row. The yarn mixes a wool yarn in the background with alpaca handspun for the clouds -- a yarn that is fuzzy and fluffy!
The motif is charted so you must be able to read a chart. If you have tried the provisional cast on and hemmed edge, here is a video that will help. The pattern is different but the idea is the same.
