The Postmodernlove is a relaxed and oversized raglan cardigan, which has been designed to play and experiment with different fibers, colors and textures. It’s a beginner-friendly project, quick to knit, and the result will be a fun and unique garment that you’ll love to wear. I hope you enjoy knitting it as much as I have enjoyed designing it.
About the construction, the cardigan is worked from the top down in stockinette stitch with raglan increases until the sleaves are separated. The body is knitted back and forth up to the end of the waistband. The sleeves are picked up around the armhole and worked in the round with decreases to the cuff. To finish the garment the button bands are knitted, and the raglan increases are embroidered using the duplicate stitch technique.

Sizes: , 2, 3, (4, 5, 6), equivalent to 105, 118, 139 (158, 175, 196) cm of bust circumference (finished measurements with the garment buttoned) with 30 - 40 cm of positive ease.

Gauge: 10 sts & 14 rows = 10 cm, Measured over stockinette stitch on 9.0mm needles, after blocking (this is a relaxed garment with a large positive ease and differents fibers, don’t worry too much about the gauge).

Yarn: About 440, 490, 540 (610, 680, 750) meters of chunky weight yarn (the idea of the garmen is get the gauge mixing diferent fibers and colors held together, so this quantities are relative.

Needles: 9.0 mm needles, (or the required needle size to obtain gauge), for the body.
9.0 mm DPNs for the sleeves, or circular needle with a cable length appropiate for magic loop
7.0 mm needles for the ribbing.

Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle, buttons (25-30mm), block mats and pins.

Note about the yarn: the yarn used in this garment is completely free. In this pattern you will not find indications about changes of color or texture, since you can do it as freely as you want. The only important thing is that you get to the chunky weight, which you can get with 1 strand of chunky weight, 1 strand of worsted and 1 strand of fingering, 2 strands of DK, 1 strand of DK and 2 of fingering and so. El Postmodern Love (amor postmoderno en español) es un cardigan relajado y oversize que ha sido diseñado para jugar y experimentar con diferentes colores, fibras y texturas. Es un proyecto amigable para principiantes, rápido de tejer, y el resultado será una prenda entretenida y única que amarás vestir. Espero que disfrutes tejiéndolo tanto como yo disfruté diseñándolo.
Acerca de la construcción, el cardigan está tejido de arriba para abajo en punto jersey y en plano con aumentos tipo raglan hasta la separación de mangas. El cuerpo está trabajado también en plano hasta la pretina. Los puntos de las mangas son levantados y tejidos en redondo con disminuciones hasta el puño. para terminar la prenda se tejen las botoneras y se bordan los aumentos del raglán con la técnica de punto duplicado.

Tallas: 1, 2, 3, (4, 5, 6), equivalentes a 105, 118, 139 (158, 175, 196) cm de circunferencia de busto (medidas finales con la prenda abotonada), con 30 - 40 cm de holgura positiva.

Muestra: 10 p & 14 vtas = 10 cm, Medido sobre punto jersey con agujas de 9.0mm, después de ser bloqueada. (Esta es una prenda relajada con una gran holgura positiva y diferentes fibras, no te preocupes demasiado sobre la muestra.

Hilado: Aproximadamente 440, 490, 540 (610, 680, 750) metros de hilado grosor chunky (la idea de la prenda es obtener la muestra mezclando diferentes colores y fibras sostenidas juntas, por lo que estas cantidades son relativas).

Lo único importante es que consigas el grosor chunky, el cual puedes lograr con 1 hebra de grosor chunky, 1 hebra de worsted y 1 hebra de fingering, 2 hebras de DK, 1 hebra de DK y 2 hebras de fingering, y así.
