Posh polos
4 styles of knitted collar and plaquet sections to be applied to self-sewn polo shirts. Basic sewing skills are needed. Create the basic shirt using purchased knitted fabric and a sewing pattern for a T-shirt shape that you like. The book explains how to create a suitable neckline for a polo, cutting layouts. #1 is for standard gauge machines with 2 beds using thin yarn. 5 gauges are given and long stitch fully explained is used. #2 is stockinette made on a single bed for any standard gauge machine, including Passap and superba. #3 is seed stitch designed specifically for Brother standard gauge machines using a garter carriage. #4 is full needle rib for any standard gauge machine with two beds. Each design shows a different way of applying the collar and plaquet to the shirt.
