Poplar
This hat is made from yarn that was milled by my dear friend Anna at Longway Homestead.
She gave it to me last year at Knit City and it almost felt too special to use,
but I brought it with me on a road trip in the hopes that it would become something magical.
The road trip was to see Nancy Holt’s Sun Tunnels-
A sculpture I have dreamed of visiting since I was a teenager.
This hat now has the memory of an art pilgrimage that shook me
and brought inspiration that I will be holding dear for a long time.
There is great magic in this hat.
The photos were shot by Brutally Beautiful Photography.
