Looking for an interesting hat that will keep you warm but still look trendy? Look no farther!
“Pomponious Hat” is a perfect project for any knitter.

Depending on your mood, it can be worn two different ways: with or without the pompom. The pompom adds a fun touch; but it can be omitted if you’re after a little more classic hat.
The relatively simple and easy to follow stitch pattern creates an interesting and fashionable look.

Both written and charted directions are included.

Materials: The Plucky Knitter Plucky Bulky (100% Merino) 100g/ 135 yards (123 meters):
hat: 1 (2, 2) skein or approx. 130 (150, 170) yards 119 (137, 155) meters of Bulky weight yarn that knits up to gauge;
pompom: approx. 50 yards 46 meters of any DK weight yarn.
Alternatively, you can use leftovers of a contrasting color for a pom-pom.
The sample is knit with 5th Avenue and contrasting leftovers (for pom-pom).

• US 10 6.0 mm & US 10½ 6.5 mm 16” (40cm) circular needles
• Tapestry needle
• Safety pin
• Stitch marker

Sizes: small (medium, large)

Finished measurements: 19 (22, 24)’’ 47.5 (56, 61) cm Head Circumference.

Gauge: 13 sts and 18 rounds per 4” 10cm in stockinette stitch with larger needles after blocking – save time by checking the gauge.
Please note that I knit loosely so you may need a different needle size or different yarn weight to obtain the gauge.

• The Plucky Knitter Plucky Bulky (100% Merinowolle) 100g/ 135 Yards (123 m): Mütze: 1 (2, 2) Knäuel bzw. ca.. 150 (170, 190) yds 110 (128, 146) m anderes Garn mit einer LL von 100–120 m per 100 g sowie mit übereinstimmender Maschenprobe; Bommel: ca.. 46 m DK-Garn mit einer LL von 240–300 m per 100 g. Bommel kann aus beliebigen Resten in Konstrastfarbe gearbeitet werden, abgebildete Mütze aus „5th Avenue“ mit kontrastfarbener Bommel.
