Notes
This vest is knitted using the double knitting technique with one strand of MC and two strands of CC.
Working back and forth, start knitting the front and back body pieces separately from the hem, then join them around the waist and knit up to the underarms in one piece. Work the front and back pieces separately from the armpits to shoulders, and then join the shoulders. 

Double knitting is a knitting technique that creates the fabric doubled and reversible.  
In this pattern, knit the stitches for the front fabric facing you and purl the stitches for the back fabric away from you alternately using MC and CC. Twice as many stitches as the stitches visible on one side are on the needle because two fabric (RS and WS) are worked at once.

Notes
MC1本, CC2本どりのダブルニッティングの技法で編むベスト.
ボトムアップの往復編みで, 後ろ身頃, 左右前身頃をそれぞれ裾
から編み始め, 胴まわりで繋げて脇下まで編む. 脇下から前後身
頃を分けてそれぞれ編み, 肩で綴じる.
ダブルニッティングは編み地が二重になっていて, 両面とも表に
なる編み方である.
このパターンでは, MCとCCの糸を使用して編み地の手前側を
表編み, 向こう側を裏編みで一目ずつ交互に編んでいく.
