Polyphemus is a stunning women’s striped poncho that fortifies basic sweater knitting skills. Worked in Valley Yarns Hampden, this piece has an oversized fit that is casual and comfortable, making this the perfect layering piece this season. Polyphemus is knit flat in pieces from the bottom up and then seamed. Stitches are picked up around the neck opening for the funnel neck and armholes and split sides are finished with a doubled hem for added structure and to prevent curling.
