I designed this cardigan for the Cool Wool Collective Spring/Summer 2023 edition. I am again drawn back to the Cornish Gansey jumper patterns and have taken a design from Polperro to cascade down the sleeves of this top down knitted cardigan.

Difficulty
Knitted top down on circular needles throughout you will need to knit, purl, make stitches and decrease. The cardigan is finished off by picking up the button band and collar with an i-cord finish.

Yarn and Notions
I used Stylecraft Naturals in Bamboo and Cotton. It has a 60/40 split of the two natural fibres and is a double knit weight. The balls are 100g in weight with 250 meters/273 yards. The yarn requirements below are based on this yarn. Please double check your meterage/yardage if you use something else and complete a tension square.

3.75mm (US 5) 80cm / 32 inch circular needle

Stitch holder or spare yarn to hold sleeve stitches, four moveable stitch markers

Four 2cm buttons
