The inspiration for this knitted flower pattern was traditional Polish Folk Art Motifs.

This project is knit on five double pointed needles with a construction that borrows from mitten and glove knitting.

We hope that you will have fun with your flower. Feel free to change the dimensions, and the colours whenever you fancy to make your own unique flower variety. Use any yarn weight and change your needle size so you have a nice tight tension (a few sizes smaller than recommended for the yarn). This is a great project to use up scraps since colour changes can be added throughout the flower. The more colour the better!

Finished flowers can be toys or wall decorations. The Knit Cafe loves having these flowers hang in our window!
