Here is one of Biscotte Yarns’ 2024 Advent Calendar patterns, the Polar Express, which is now available for everyone to enjoy!

This pattern, which I have called “Polar Express,” is inspired by its composition and colors that remind me of the charm of winter and the magic of the holidays. With its vibrant stripes and asymmetrical layout, this shawl evokes a train journey through snowy landscapes. I hope this pattern inspires you to create a shawl filled with beautiful and happy memories.

You can purchase the pattern separately or receive it free of charge when you order the yarn as part of a Polar Express knitting kit!

NOTE

This shawl is worked diagonally, with increases at the beginning of all RS rows and the end of all WS rows. An increase is also added every 4 rows on the RS to accentuate its asymmetric shape. When working the striped sections, cutting the yarn between each color change is unnecessary: simply leave the unused yarn hanging at the end of the row so it’s ready to use two rows up. On the mosaïc band and the lace band, C is knit alone while D & G are held together. Both stitch patterns (mosaic and lace band) are available in written instructions and as a chart at the end of the pattern.
