The first photo shows the new version of the Polar Bear pattern, available in my collection Fuzzy Knits, and as an individual pattern. The toy and cardigan have had only minimal changes from the original.

The toy uses 50 g of worsted weight yarn in cream, on 4 mm (US size 6 needles). The jacket uses 25 g of worsted weight yarn, on 4.5 mm (US size 7) needles. Both toy and jacket are knit flat and them seamed, although the toy is relatively easy to knit in the round if you are comfortable modifying it. The pattern is advanced beginner level. You will need to know how to knit, purl, k2tog, ssk, increase, sew seams, and pick up stitches.
