This V-neck vest, with two front pockets, is knit in one piece from the bottom up then seamed at the shoulders. The pockets are knit in using a double knitting technique that I learned from wizard Lucy Neatby, and the hem and front edges are worked along with the body in seed stitch. Armholes are finished by picking up stitches and working armbands to match the outer edges or by a simple narrow knit or crochet edge.

Use the schematic to adjust width, length, and armhole depth.

Finishing is minimal: join the shoulders, finish the armholes, darn in ends.

Skills needed:
knit, purl, k2tog, p2tog, ssk, ssp, wrap and turn.

A big thank you to nscollins for her proof reading skills, and another big thank you to Melinda and Tess of Tess’ Designer Yarns who supplied that delicious Grand Manan.
