Plumptious Cowl is a warm, cosy Tunisian crochet cowl designed to make the most of beautiful chunky yarns. Using a combination of Honeycomb and Arrowhead stitches, you’ll work a simple rectangular fabric with lots of texture and squish. The rectangle is then folded and lightly stitched to create the cowl, with only a small amount of straightforward seaming needed to secure the pointed detail.
Each cowl uses just two balls of chunky yarn (approximately 230 m total), making it a satisfying and relatively quick project. The sample cowls were made using King Cole Autumn Chunky and Stylecraft Carnival Tweed, both of which beautifully highlight the stitch pattern and texture. Pattern is written in English and uses UK terms.
