Plication: the act or procedure of folding. the state or quality of being folded; a fold.

With these fun mitts, your knitting folds as you go and then you fold it again to make these simple knit-flat mitts.

Without the optional thumb these mitts are a very easy beginner knit. But to add a little spice, they have the added bonus of a great short row thumb technique that will equip you with a recipe to turn any square or rectangle into a mitt simply by folding and seaming it.

To make the pattern even more useful, it is written with three different gauges to suit aran, DK or fingering yarn.

Always allow extra yarn. A light worsted yarn may be an option for the DK gauge and a heavy worsted for the aran. This looks great in both solid and multi-coloured yarns. You’ll see the the decrease pattern best in lights, brights or jewel colours.
