Oversized cropped summer top.
Easy top down and 18 sts / 4” gauge are very quick and a satisfying result.

SIZE
Three sizes are available.
Size 1 - (S / M) - 40” chest circumference
Size 2 - (M / L) - 44” chest circumference
Size 3 - (L / XL) - 48” chest circumference

This top is oversized. Armholes are big and designed to be more like Kimono sleeves.

Since this is worked top down, it is very easy to make it longer. Front length (shoulder to bottom) is 21.25” for size 1, 23” for size 2 & 3. Back is 1.5” longer than Front. If you want to make it longer, please have extra yardage. The row gauge is based on “Modern Cotton” which stretches out length way after blocking. If you are knitting with different yarn, you might need to add more rows.

Adding Stripes
It is vey fun to add colored stripes anywhere you want. Separate instruction is provided on how to add fun stripes.

YARN
The Gauge is 18sts / 4”. It will shape nicely if you use the yarn of Gauge 20sts / 4” or 18 ~ 20 sts / 4”.

The cream sample is knitted with Berroco “Modern Cotton”. Cotton / Model blend yarn is very easy to knit and so soft. Drapes nicely too.
If you are knitting for summer top, you might want to choose machine washable cotton, linen….. yarns.

White x Navy - Be sweet “Bambino (discontinued)” x Berocco “Comfort”.

This top is also cute to wear fall / winter as a vest. Merino wool, alpaca blend yarn would work well.

Wool - US#7 ~ US#8
Please check the gauge carefully. You should check the gauge after blocking. Especially cotton and linen yarn will change the gauge before and after blocking.

This top is very fun to knit. I have already made three with different yarns and love to wear all of them!!!
