Plaid Bow Ear Warmer
This stunning plaid ear warmer has two great features:
-A tubular cast on and bind off to give it that perfect machine knit look. Yay for no ugly cast on/off edges!
-You don’t need to weave in a bunch of ends! They are knotted and just hidden under the bow.
This is an intermediate pattern, but I do have links to help beginners learn the tubular cast on and bind off, as well as tips on how to keep your color work tension even.
You will need the following yardage for the XL size and less for all smaller sizes:
Fisherman approx 20 yards.
Claret approx 15 yards.
Black approx 10 yards.
Cranberry approx 6 yards.
The smaller yardage amounts makes this the perfect pattern for using up scrap yarn!
8mm(US11) & 9mm(US13) for XS/MED,
9mm(US13) & 10mm(US15) for SM/LG/XL
(Please note, you CAN make this pattern with just one size of needle. Just make sure to use tighter tension on the brims and knit looser on the color work.)
