Placentia

Placentia means a pleasant place to live. Beside the sea and the smell of the ocean is a happy day even if the sun isn’t out. The sweater is a cosy, oversized drop-shoulder pullover. The stranded colourwork body is worked bottom up to the underarms, and the upper front and back are worked separately and flat to the shoulder BOs. Stitches are picked up along the shoulder BOs and then joined with a modified 3-needle BO. The sleeves are picked up
and worked in the round to the cuffs. To finish, the cowl neck and hem are picked up and worked in the round. Placentia is meant to be lived in! At all hours of the day.

Placentia is pattern #17 of Landed, Volume 1: The Avalon, Timeless Lace and Stranded Knitting Patterns for the Adventurous Handknitter.
