~Pitala~ (Punjabi = Kupfer) ist ein Cardigan, der zweifädig aus Yak Lace von PASCUALI nahtlos von oben
nach unten gestrickt wird. Begonnen wird mit provisorischem Anschlag in der Mitte des Nackens, von
wo aus der Kragen in beide Richtungen ein Stück gearbeitet wird, bevor aus der Kante Maschen für den
Körper aufgenommen werden. Das Kragenmuster aus diagonal laufenden Bändern linker Maschen läuft
in der Blende weiter. Die „Slanted-Contiguous -Shoulders“ werden in verschiedenen Zunahmeblöcken
geformt. Nach dem Stilllegen der Ärmelmaschen wird das Muster des Kragens in größer werdenden
Abständen am Körper aufgegriffen, wobei die Mitte des Rückens eine Symmetrieachse bildet.
Abgeschlossen wird der Körper mit einigen kraus gestrickten Reihen, die ein Aufrollen verhindern und
einem abschließenden I-Cord als Weiterführung der Randmaschen der Blende.
Die Ärmel werden glatt rechts gearbeitet und enden in einem Bündchen, das das Muster der Blende
und des Körpers erneut aufgreift.

~Pitala~ (Punjabi = Copper) is a cardigan, knit seamlessly from the top down using two strands of Yak Lace (PASCUALI) held together. Starting with a provisional cast on at the middle of the back neck edge, the collar is worked outwards in both directions. Stitches for the body are then picked up along the collar edge. The diagonal bands of purl stitches along the collar are continued in the front flaps of the cardigan. The “Slanted-Contiguous-Shoulders” are formed through blocks of increases. The stitches for the arms are placed on holders and the diagonal pattern of the collar is continued in the body, but with increasingly larger intervals between the diagonal lines, while forming an axis of symmetry along the center of the back. The bottom is finished with garter stitch to prevent rolling and finally with an I-Cord bind off similar to the edge stitches along the neckline edges. The arms are worked in the round in stockinette stitch ending in a cuff with a similar diagonal design as for the front and body.
