Pirouette Gloves
These quick and elegant gloves are a perfect introduction to felting. Pretty oversized cuffs add feminine whimsy to the stockinette gloves. Instructions are included for full and half fingers.
Finished Size 6½ (7½)“ palm circumference. Gloves shown measure 6½”.
Yarn Knit Picks Palette (100% Peruvian highland wool; 231 yd 211 m/1¾ oz 50 g): #25541 Oregon coast heather (light brown; MC) and #24257 edamame (green; CC), 1 ball each.
Needles Cuff-size 4 (3.5 mm). Hand-size 2 (2.75 mm): set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); stitch holders; worsted-weight cotton waste yarn; tapestry needle; size 6 (1.6 mm) steel crochet hook; two ½“ buttons.
Gauge 30 sts and 40 rnds = 4” in St st on smaller needles; 22 sts and 44 rows = 4” in garter st on larger needles, before felting; 28 sts and 56 rows = 4” in garter st on larger needles, after felting.
