They are simple to make using garter stitch and stocking stitch with double knit (UK) yarn and 3mm needles. The front is knitted first then the back and then both sides are sewn together.

The pirate puppets are so small they only use a very small amount of yarn. Make them using leftover yarns and they will cost nothing! Experiment with colour combinations and add more characters. The little ones will be shouting ‘pieces of eight’ in no time!
