Pipette Cardigan
Pipette is a top-down yoke cardigan that celebrates the beauty of small details. Worked in two strands of finer yarn held together for a soft DK-weight fabric, the design is minimalist at heart – yet punctuated with delicate moments of contrast and texture. A single stripe of slip stitches and a line of beads, both in a contrasting colour, frame the yoke at top and bottom. Using the Estonian inlay method, pre-threaded beads are laid into the fabric – like tiny droplets carefully placed with a pipette. The body and sleeves are worked in smooth stockinette, finished with crisp 1X1 twisted rib at the collar, cuffs, hem, and button bands. The button bands are picked up and knitted on for a simple and clean finish. Pipette is a refined, wearable layer with a twist of whimsy – perfect for knitters who love understated knits with thoughtful embellishment.
