I love this new light-weight pullover with swirling cables on front, back and sleeves and pretty moss-stitch details on front bodice and sleeve cuffs. And while the detailing is pretty and feminine, the fit is comfortable, like a Sunday-morning sweatshirt, with a split hem adding to the easy-going attitude.
Construction: Sweater front and back are worked flat from the top down and seamed. Sleeves are worked flat from the bottom up and set in. Neckline is finished with attached I-cord.
Sizing: 2-5” ease recommended. Shown in size 40 worn with 4” ease.
Yarn: 6 (7, 7, 8, 8, 9, 10) skeins Sunday Knits sport weight yarns. Sample knit in Heaven (100% cashmere sport weight - 225 yds / 200 m per 50 gm skein), color wildberry.
Substitute any sport weight yarn that works nicely to gauge: 1290 (1420, 1560, 1690, 1830, 2010, 2210) yds.
Gauge Note: This is a loose gauge for the yarn used, and the resulting fabric is light and airy. A thicker yarn worked at this same gauge would work nicely too although the fabric would be denser.
Techniques used:
Cables, reading charts, short rows (explained).
Pattern includes:
Written instructions, stitch patterns in charted format only, schematics, glossary.
