Stranded colourwork can be intimidating, but that doesn’t have to scare you off colour knitting entirely! Vertical stripes are less common in knitting than horizontal ones, but this slipped-stitch technique creates the illusion of pinstripes while only one colour is being worked at a time. I found the slipped stitches really fun to work, and this matching set is great for stashbusting.

Making the shorter version of the mitts, you can
make the small or medium size of the beret and
mitts set with just one ball of each colour!

Make this cute set your way - either choose the simple slipped-stitch pattern, opt for cables or combine the two in whichever way you fancy.
