You also have to do decreases to shape the crown, slip-slip-knit, knit-two-together, and a double decrease: slip-two-knit-one-passover. That is, slip 2 together as if to knit, knit the next stitch, then pass the 2 slipped stitches over the knitted stitch and off the needle.
