What colors make you gasp?

When I got the chance to squish hundreds of Emma’s Yarn minis, these are the ones that jumped out at me – deep, saturated tones that transported me to another place and mood. Let’s just say Emma is brilliant with color.

The Pigments of Your Imagination is a fun, modular knit made up of all basic stitches. A 100-g skein and four minis will give you a small shawlette, shown here, or you can double your yarn for a more generous wrap.

Fingering yarn

• Small: 400 yards/366 m MC and 4 x 80 yards/73 m contrast (4 unique C1, C2, C3, C4).
• Large: 800 yards/732 m MC and 8 x 80 yards/73 m contrast (2 each in 4 unique C1, C2, C3, C4).

Gauge:
17 sts and 36 rows = 4”/10 cm in garter, wet-blocked and aggressively pinned out with blocking wires

Needles:

• Three US 5/3.75-mm circular needles to knit flat, or size needed to obtain gauge OR two needles and waste yarn or stitch holder.
• Optional: One needle one or two sizes larger than the above, to assist with loose 3-needle bind-off

Tools:

• 3 stitch markers
• Stitch holder or spare needle
• Tapestry needle and scissors
• Blocking wires and pins
