Picnics in the Park
The yarn used in this pattern is a bulky weight cotton blend ribbon yarn, knit at a tighter than normal gauge for this design. Substituting another yarn will definitely require knitting a gauge swatch.
Description from the magazine: Create a square-neck-raglan by letting the neckline follow the raglan lines. We chose to accent the neckband joins and side waistband with contrasting buttons for a fresh and fun look.
Size information:
- S (M, L, 1X)
- Finished chest: 38.25 (42.5, 46.75, 51)“ / 97 (108, 118.75, 129.5) cm
- Length: 21 (22.25, 24.25, 25.5)“ / 53.25 (56.5, 61.5, 64.75) cm
Materials required:
- US 6 (4.00 mm) circular needles, 16”/40 cm and 24”/60 cm long
- US 8 (5.00 mm) circular needles, 16”/40 cm and 24”/60 cm long
- 4 3/4” (19 mm) buttons
- stitch holders and markers
Note: Sweater is worked from the neck down. Back yoke and front shoulders are worked back and forth in rows. Stitches are then cast on for front neck, and piece is worked circularly to bottom ribbing, which is worked back and forth in rows.
