I originally designed this pattern for the #littlesquareofstrenght project by Tea + Fleur
Knitted in DK yarn it works into a 16 x 16 cm square, which is perfect for this project or for your own blanket. You could also knit it in thicker or thinner yarn for a different sized square.
The square only uses around 17-20 gms of yarn all up, so it’s an excellent stash buster!
Picnic Checks are quick and easy to knit, and look great in a whole range of colours. This pattern is also ideal if it’s your first time following a chart or knitting colourwork/Fair Isle.
