Piano Head
Every week during lockdown, I chat over video link to my best friend, who is a music teacher. She lives in the chilly North West of England and is always cold. She teaches recorder to primary school students, and commented that they find it hard to concentrate when she is on the other end of a screen. What could be better than a musical inspired gift which combines warmth and the ability to entrance small children? Piano Head was born!
It is knit sideways.
Starting with a provisional cast on, you use a chart and choose the number of repeats to get to your head/neck size.
You join in the round using 3 needle bind off or Kitchener graft. Videos are included to show provisional cast on and the two alternative bind offs.
Instructions are given on how to to adjust the height of the headband.
This pattern is ideal for using up odd balls of yarn and is very straightforward, therefore if you are a beginner, have no fear! You can do it.
