This mini skein set isn’t exactly sold as a gradient but I thought it was perfect anyway.

I switched yarns by alternating colors for a few rnds. There was enough left over for a generously sized pompom!

My preferred cast-on for the brim is the tubular method, however if you like, you can use any method you prefer.

Measurements
14¾ (16, 17¼)“ around brim and 9½” tall, unstretched. Stretches to fit 20½ (22½, 24¼)“ around; sample shown measures 14¾”.

Brim: Size 1.5 (2.5 mm); Body: Size 3 (3.25 mm) Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
