Petroglyph Socks
These unisex socks, available in 3 sizes, are knit from the cuff down to the toes. They feature a flap heel and a wide toe. There is a wide ribbing at the cuff. The leg of the sock features textured knit/purl stitches in several patterns reminiscent of the petroglyphs found decorating rocks and canyon walls here in the southwest. The sample is shown in size 7 3/4”.
You will need approximately 375 (425, 475) yards of a fingering weight yarn with a firm twist to knit these socks.
Note that the motifs are presented in chart form only.
Inspired by the vast array of images found at Petroglyph National Monument, just outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
