Technique
Overlay Mosaic Crochet with slanted stitches: each round is made with one color and consists of single crochet in the back loop (sc blo) and double crochet in the front loop (dc flo)

Stitches
In addition to vertical dc, I also use slanted dc and extended dc (made one or two stitches back or forward), decreases, increases, and occasionally, front post stitches (there is a video and explanation for all stitches)

Pattern includes:

• Written instructions in US crochet terminology for a smaller and bigger pillows and a framed wall hanging
• Diagrams / charts
• Videos for stitches, techniques, and the first few rounds
• Instructions for finishing
• Pattern support via Facebook group

Sizes:

• Small pillow: 41cm / 16’’, fits 41-43cm / 16-17’’ pillow insert
• Big pillow and framed wall hanging: 48cm / 19’’, fits 48-51cm / 19-20’’ pillow insert

Recommended materials:

Yarn:

• Fingering/ 4ply weight such as Scheepjes Whirlette (60% Cotton x 40% Acrylic, 100g/ 455m) or Scheepjes Whirl (60% Cotton x 40% Acrylic, 215-225g/ 1000m)

For a smaller (bigger) pillow:

• Yarn1 (background): 2 (3) Whirlette / 150 (210)g in 860 Ice
• Yarn2 (contrast): 1 Whirl / 60 (90)g in 769 Blackberry Mint Chip (divided into color sections for displaying all colors)

For a framed wall hanging:

• Yarn1 (background): 1 Whirlette / 100g in 860 Ice
• Yarn2 (contrast): 1 Whirl / 90g in 769 Blackberry Mint Chip (divided into color sections for displaying all colors)

Other materials and tools:

• Crochet hooks: 3mm for the front and 2.5mm for the plain back to compensate for gauge differences
• Tapestry needle, stitch markers
• For pillows: 41-43cm (48-51cm)/ 16-17’’ (19-20’’) pillow insert, invisible zipper (optional)
• For a framed wall hanging: 50cm x 50cm / 19 ¾’’ x 19 ¾’’ frame (SANNAHED IKEA frame was used for the prototype), stapler
