Yarn Requirements:

Worsted weight wool or a wool and mohair blend that will felt easily. If using two colors, both should be the same type of yarn. Photographed models are knit in Lamb’s Pride from Brown Sheep Co. and Cherry Tree Hill Yarn’s hand dyed version of the same yarn in a colorway they call Quarry Hill.

Yardage: Approximately 225 (280) yards for a one color hat or 140 (185) yards of main color and 90 (100) yards of contrast for a two color hat. You also need about 5 yards of waste cotton for cast on.

Needles:

US 10.5 24" circular needles and double pointed needles. You will also need a spare smaller circular needle for picking up stitches (a size 6 or 7 is recommended). Size J crochet hook for cast on.
