Perles de Plume (Bulky) is a bulky version of my DK weight design Perles de Plume. A bandana-style cowl that is worn like a shawl. It features a pretty plume stitch separated by bands of purl stitches. The cowl begins by working back and forth in a crescent shape, using simple yarn overs. Every right side row is increased by 2 stitches and every wrong side row is increased by 4. The piece is then joined and worked in the round. A picot bind-off finishes off the cowl, highlighting the delicate scallops in the lace. Bulky weight yarn is used to showcase the chunky lace and makes this a fast and satisfying project. The pattern is charted and also includes written instructions.
