Not experienced in slip-stitch designs yet, but want to practice? Give it a shot with a small project like these socks! These top-down socks are knitted with a slipped stockinette stitch pattern, and you can get a complete pair from one skein of yarn.

Yarn Weight 1

Finished Size 7 (8 ¾ )“ foot circumference and 8 ½ (9 ¼ )” long from back of heel to tip of toe; foot length is adjustable. Socks shown measure 7”.

Yarn Ancient Arts Fibre Crafts Superwash BFL (100% superwash bluefaced Leicester wool; 437 yd 400 m/31/2 oz 100 g): Aztec gold, 1 skein.

Needles Sizes 1 (2.25 mm) and 2 ½ (3 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge

Notions Markers (m); stitch holder; tapestry needle.

Gauge 35 sts and 72 rnds = 4” in Slipped St st on larger needles; 39 sts and 72 rnds = 4” in charted patt on larger needles.
