Ready for a little adventure? This charming knitted play set has all you need: Pat the doll is hiking with their rucksack and their pet dog, Scout. They can settle down after a hike in their orange tent with sleeping bag and pillow. A campfire is ready for some marshmallow toasting, and a rosebush and green grass play mat complete the set. And after playtime, the play mat is a handy storage bag to pack away all the toys.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the toys are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). Two DPNs are used to work i-cord tubes for the bag handles.

NEEDLES:
A pair each of 3.5mm and 4mm single pointed knitting needles (US 4 and 6), and two 4mm DPNs to work i-cord (US 6).

RECOMMENDED YARN:
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/280m skein in each colour.


NOTIONS:
Tapestry needle, toy filling, stitch holder, stitch markers, buttons and thread to decorate, and cardboard or canvas grid panels to support the tent sides.

SIZES:
One size only - Play-mat/bag surface measures 25cm x 25cm (excluding handle), tent is 9.5cm tall x 14cm long (excluding pennant), bush is 10.5cm tall, doll is 13cm tall, sleeping bag 13cm long, rucksack 4.5cm tall, campfire 4.5cm across x 4cm tall, and dog is 8cm tall (seated).

TECHNIQUES:
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, i-cord, and seaming to finish.
