Sport weight yarn might work as well, but always check the gauge. It shouldn’t be thinner than 140m per 50g ball
• crochet hook 3.5mm or size required to obtain the gauge

Work 19sts and 19rows in sc to measure 10x10cm or 4x4in using 3.5mm hook, or size required to obtain the gauge
