A wide crescent shape of soothing garter stitch is balanced by a beautiful but easy to knit lace border and a striking looped picot bind off. The shawl is fully reversible, as the lace has no right or wrong side.

Ginger’s Hand Dyed Splendor 4ply (4ply; 50% Merino, 50% silk; 400m/437 yds per 100g skein)
Shade MC: Hocus Pocus, 1 x 100g skein
Shade CC: Dove, 1 x 100g skein

Sample used 80g of MC and 75g of CC

Gauge

20 sts and 42 rows to 10cm / 4in in garter stitch knitted flat, blocked

Gauge is not crucial but please consider that changes to gauge will alter the finished size and yardage requirements.

Pattern notes

This graceful, crescent shaped shawl is constructed with two increases on each row. The lace border is reversible, meaning the shawl looks beautiful on both sides.

This pattern was originally exclusive to the Neighbourhood Sheep Society yarn club members but has now been re-released in readily available yarn.
