I designed this hat as an excuse to use up some of my leftovers from my Pendennis Club sweater, since I really didn’t want to be done playing with the combination of Kingston and Rockwell.
SO…
Purchase both the Pendennis Club sweater AND the Pendennis Club Hat together on Ravelry for $11, and get $3.50 off the price if bought separately!!

Who doesn’t love a little colorwork on a beanie? Quick, satisfying and a great way to use up some beautiful yarn that would otherwise sit in stash. Add a pompom and I’m pretty much in! I see a few of these in my holiday plans…

The Pendennis Club Hat is a simple beanie with stranded colorwork medallions around the body of the hat and a squishy, bunchy crown. I really love how the tweed of the Kingston and the marl of the Rockwell look together, and I added a few purl stitches into the design so that the contrast in the colorwork would really pop!

Yardage by size:

Sizes:
17.5(19.25,20.75)”/ 44.5(49,52.75)cm around body of hat.
8(8,8.5)“/ 20.25(20.25,21.5)cm deep from cast-on edge to crown

Measurements based on final, blocked fabric.

Yardage
80(100,120)yds/ 75(90,110)m main color
25yds/ 23m accent color

You could use a third shade of Kingston for the accent instead of Rockwell, or choose another yarn that knits to gauge.

Note that Kingston and Rockwell are listed as DK weight yarns, but they knit beautifully at a worsted weight gauge. If substituting yarn, be aware that gauge is 5sts/7rounds per 1”.
