The travelling ribbed stitches on the front recall the endlessly lapping waves of the sea, and the back is made up of stockinette stitches, combining to create a garment of contemporary style and ease. The front and armhole bands are worked as you go, so there’s no picking up of stitches at the end; just the back neck band is worked from live stitches and grafted once the shoulders are seamed, for a flowing, elegant effect.
