I designed this hat with the intention of teaching a beginning fair isle class at my shop, and it went very well! This hat is worked in the round and the chart is a 10 stitch repeat. It is a great way to get your feet wet in fair isle knitting! There are two options for the brim: a simple rib or a picot edge that begins with a provisional cast on. Gauge is very important as you want a tight, firm fabric so the orange and green floats don’t show through the white background.
