Designed specifically to show off the beautiful sheen and drape of Expression Fiber Arts Pearlescent Fingering yarn (but also tested using Expression Fiber Arts Yak Bamboo Sport and ‘Luster’ Merino Tencel Sport yarns), this Broomstick Lace design features lots of flexibility. Easy enough for an enthusiastic beginner and exciting enough for the experienced crocheter.

This can be seamed into a wrap or - with a little extra length - an infinity scarf, finished with a simple fringe (recommended only if using a plied yarn), or dressed up with the lovely border.

The pattern is written, (a charted version is in the works).

Gauge is not crucial to this project.

The Pearlescent Fingering yarn has a generous 550 yards, and the wrap can be made wider (simply add sets of 5 to your beginning chain to increase the width) or longer as desired. The border stitch requires approximately 2 grams of yarn per set of broomstick lace, so you don’t have to play yarn chicken when deciding how long to make your wrap.
