Peacock's Progress
My cousin recently came to stay and admired some of lace shawls but as she hadn’t knitted for over 30 years she wanted something easy to get her into knitting again. This rectangular shawl comes in 3 versions.
There’s a really simple Razor Shell Stitch pattern which is just knit in one piece which my cousin made; or you can knit two matching pieces of Razor Shell Stitch and graft them together; or you can knit a border of the Razor Shell Stitch and include a centre panel of Lilac Leaf again knitting two equal pieces and grafting them together.
Why the name – well my cousin’s surname is Peacock and the easier pattern was designed to help her progress back into knitting.
Thank you to Christine (knittingfaerie) from the Isle of Wight who test knitted this pattern for me.
