Peacock on a Walk
Forever 50% OFF
It’s going to be three years since I started updating my old patterns to bring them in line with my current standards, and I have now come to realize that some of them will probably never be updated, either because I have gifted the samples and cannot make nice photos, or I simply don’t have enough time, etc.
So I decided to let go of this idea and just allow those earlier patterns to be, well, my earlier patterns reflecting me as a designer at that stage of my professional development.
Instead, I am changing the pricing for those older patterns. They are now 50% less, and this is not a discount, but their permanent price from now on. You can purchase these patterns here, on Ravelry where I have grouped them into a separate bundle.
Happy crocheting!
Made with gorgeous Gleem Lace yarn, Peacock on a Walk can be a scarf or a stole, depending of how many inner pattern repeats are worked. It is crocheted bottom up in one piece and can be made to any length. The lace border repeats (“feathers”) are added as you go.
The scarf is easy and fun to make, but assumes at least an intermediate crochet skill level because of its construction, use of post stitches and a rather unusual method of creating picot. However, once you get the pattern, you will sail through this project.
The measurements listed below are guidelines. Make a narrow scarf or turn it into a stole by working extra repeats of the inner stitch pattern.
One skein of Gleem Lace by Fyberspates is enough to make any of the sizes below:
- One inner PR: 8’’ (20cm) wide, 80 ¾’’ (205cm) long (or longer)
- Two inner PRs: 11 ½’’ (29cm) wide, 80 ¾’’ (205cm) long
- Three inner PRs: 15’’ (38cm) wide, 65’’ (165cm) long
