Patrick the Bee
With this crochet pattern, you can make your very own cute amigurumi bee with long arms and legs.
SIZE
25 cm (10”) from head to toe, 28 cm (11”) including antennae, when crocheted with DK weight cotton yarn and a 2.50 mm hook.
DIFFICULTY
3: Intermediate – includes some less common crochet techniques, color changes, and simple shaping.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Crocheting in spiral
- Crocheting in rounds
- Chain stitch, slip and single crochet stitch
- Increasing and decreasing
YOU WILL NEED
- DK / light worsted / sport weight yarn. I used Rico ‘Ricorumi DK’, a DK weight 100% cotton yarn, 58 m (68 yd) / 25 g (0.88 oz). You will need about 22 g of yellow (063 saffron), 34 g of brown (057 chocolate) and 9 g of white yarn (002 cream).
- 2.50 - 3.00 mm crochet hook (US size 2/C - 3/D).
- Polyester fiberfill, wool, wadding/padding for stuffing.
- 9 mm (3/8”) safety eyes or buttons, beads, felt etc.
- Dark brown cotton embroidery floss.
- Yarn needle, scissors, stitch marker.
