This pattern was initially designed exclusively for the TFA Year In Colour Club, March 2013, featuring the custom colour ‘Patina’ in Tanis Fiber Arts Blue Label yarn. It is now available in wide release and the colourway may pop up once in a while in a One Of A Kind Etsy shop update!

Designing with a colourful and dynamic colourway like this month’s Patina brings with it a particular set of challenges. My aim is always to highlight the tones in the yarn without distracting from the motifs in my design. I needed just the right balance of texture and lace. A crisp, graphic motif, fun to knit with stunning results!
