Like many things in life, knitting requires patience. Knitting can help us learn to live more patiently and enjoy the space that doing so creates. While we all can enjoy a beautiful finished object, I would bet that the reason most of us knit is not for the finished object alone.

Knit from the bottom up, this cowl is worked in fingering weight yarn. A solid, slightly tonal, or gentle gradient yarn will show off the pattern best. Variegated, self-striping, or speckled yarns will hide the beauty you have so patiently created.

• Fingering weight yarn, 400 yds (366 m) Samples worked in Blossoms from Wonderland Yarn (color Jade Mar-Flower) and Malabrigo Sock (color Impressionist Sky).
• US Size 3 (3.25 mm) 16-20” (41-51 cm) circular needle (or size needed to obtain gauge)
• Stitch markers and tapestry needle
• Optional—approx. 68 6/0 seed beads and 1 mm crochet hook

Gauge: 26 sts = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch, blocked—While gauge is not critical, it will affect the size of the cowl and the yardage required.
