Parterre Cowl
This cowl is made using the fabulous millstone stitch (If you need instruction on this stitch I have a video tutorial here) and I loved how it resembles the formality of a parterre garden when you use a solid colour for the outline (mortar) and a pretty handpainted yarn for the centres (bricks).
You can use any DK or light aran weight yarn for this pattern, I used less than 50g of Cascade 220 in the colour Olive Oil and 50g of the Inca Collection Hand Painted Alpaca Blend DK in the colour Fairground - this yarn may be discontinued.
I would say this is an intermediate pattern as it uses a chainless foundation (full instructions are given).
