Parisian Gardens Circular Shawl
Using a laceweight yarn creates a light-asa-feather shawl, and the very open stitch pattern makes it a surprisingly quick project. To increase your options, you can wear the shawl as a scarf or even a cowl!
I would say this is an intermediate skill level. If you’ve never made extra long sts that require you to wrap the yarn around the hook 4, 5 and even 6 times, this will be something different for you. The whole pattern doesn’t require these long sts, and I think you will find this a fun and interesting project. Of course you can use a larger wt yarn, but it will make the shawl much wider. If you use a larger yarn and want a shawl the same size as the one in the photo, you’ll just need to work less rows, but remember if you do that, the holes will be more open too.
I think this would make a beautiful table cover over another tablecloth! I picture it over a small round table with the piece touching the floor.
I love the way the edges of the border show when wrapped around the neck and worn as a cowl. It’s so light weight and looks great as a scarf also!
