Classic, modern, architectural designs are at the heart of my design process, and this sweater, inspired by the bold, clean use of line and angle of the Art Deco period (first made popular in Paris in 1925) is my homage to this fascinating time in fashion history.

Paris 1925 is knit top-down in a single piece, with minimal fuss. The use of vertical lines and sweeping angles create a flattering shape against the female form. The result is a thoroughly wearable piece that knits-up quickly and goes with almost everything.

Pattern includes video tutorials (learn Japanese short rows and the horizontal stitch -- super easy with my videos!), blocking help and other resources for working this pattern.

Yarn & Needle Info:
• 750 (780, 800, 848, 900, 954, 1010, 1070, 1134, 1200, 1250 yards Simplinatural by Skacel in Slate Grey and Natural (you will need approximately 50 g of contrast color included in the above yardage)
• Size 7/4.5mm (32”) circular needle (body) – you may need a size 7 (40”) circular if the body st grow uncomfortable on a 32”
• Size 5/3.75mm (47” – 60”) circular for front edges
• Size 5/3.75mm (12” or DPN’s) for sleeves

NOTE: You can control the a-line by how tight or loose you bind off the ribbing around the neck/front. Binding off loosely will allow the a-line to extend to much longer points in the front. If you want to control this or have less length, don’t bind off as loosely.
